Admission can be purchased online or at our admission gate. We recommend that admission be purchased online in advance as online admission rates are lower, and we cannot guarantee the availability of walk-up admission on busier days. Reservations are not required for Lehigh Valley Zoo members.
Just visit the Member Check-In booth upon your arrival. Reservations are not required for Lehigh Valley Zoo members.
The Zoo’s policy has always been to operate rain or shine. We will only close for weather if the weather raises safety concerns for our guests or animals (e.g. lightning, excessively high winds, heavy snow). A visit to the Zoo is an outdoor experience, so please plan your visit according to the weather.
Zoo tickets are nonrefundable. In the event the Zoo must close on the date for which you are holding tickets, you will receive an electronic gift card loaded with the value of your tickets that can be used to book daytime admission for a future visit. This gift card will be sent to the email address provided when you purchased your tickets. Not valid for Special Events or Winter Light Spectacular.
We honor all valid physical (adult, child, or senior) tickets and you do not need to make a reservation.
Tickets will be checked in via no-contact scanning. To ensure that you and your party will be checked in quickly, we ask that you print your ticket if possible.
If you cannot print your ticket, please make sure you either have the ticket file downloaded or have taken a screen shot of the full QR code. We ask that you have the QR code open on your phone when you are lined up for check-in, and make sure your screen is as bright as possible.
In a case where you do not have the ticket confirmation email, don’t worry! We can look you up by name when it is your turn at a ticket window or scanner.
We do offer discounted daytime admission for reciprocal AZA zoos members, but these are only available on walk-up daytime general admission. Please check our updated list of participating AZA zoos at aza.org/reciprocity and make sure to present a valid membership card and photo ID. Offer is not valid for Special Events or Winter Light Spectacular.
As a participant in the Museums4All program, we offer a $3 per ticket rate for SNAP recipients and up to 3 members of their immediate family. Admission must be purchased in-person at our admissions booth. Your state issued SNAP EBT card and valid, matching ID must be presented to receive the discounted admission.
Please note: LVZ participates in this program voluntarily and follows the guidelines set by Museums for All. The PA Department of Human Services provides us with guidance on which EBT cards are eligible to receive SNAP benefits. This discounted admission is valid only for regular daytime admission and does not include premium events, after-hours events, or Winter Light Spectacular. Discount cannot be combined with other offers. Admission cost must be paid for with alternate payment methods (cash, credit card, debit card, etc.).
Masks are not currently required when exploring the zoo, participating in animal programs, or participating in giraffe feeds. Masks will be required for staff and guests participating in close animal encounters. If our Community Transmission Level is raised to High, we will reinstate a mask requirement for all programs, including giraffe feeds.
The following exhibits, activities, and amenities are closed until further notice: Lorikeet feedings at Lorikeet Landing; drinking fountains.
Given the recent detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in the North American Atlantic flyway, Lehigh Valley Zoo’s most at-risk birds — barnyard birds and waterfowl — are currently off exhibit for their safety and well-being.
