Party Around the World Camp

It’s the final countdown! Grab your passports and get your ticket for this one-of-a-kind New Year’s Party Around the World day camp! Join us as we explore and learn how different cultures around the world ring in the New Year. From the Sydney fireworks display in Australia to the Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight, explorers will learn unique traditions from all corners of the globe. Campers will experience other ways of life through interactive activities and up-close encounters with our animal ambassadors from different parts of the world. Join us as we prepare to say goodbye to the old year and celebrate the new!
All campers will receive a snack during camp but they will need to provide their own lunch.

When should I register?
Registration is open November 1st until December 22nd or when its full!
Can I pick up my camper early?
Any arrangements for early departure should be made with the Education Department prior to the start of the camp week by emailing edureservations@lvzoo.org, or by calling (610) 799-4171 ext. 228, 229, or 247.
Can they bring a cell phone?
If you would like your child to have a cell phone for communication purposes, they may bring it to camp with them, but they must keep it in their bags unless designated otherwise. If you need to reach your child, you may do so through 610-799-4171. If your child is using the cell phone or any other technology at inappropriate times, it will be confiscated by the counselor until the end of the day.
Who is running the camp?
Education staff will be running the camp. They have a have background in natural sciences and environmental education. All education staff are up to date on clearances such as PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check (ChildLine), and FBI Criminal Background Check (fingerprinting).
Will the campers have contact with animals during camp
Campers will have the opportunity to meet some of our ambassador animals. BioFacts, such as feathers, pelts, and bones may be used to enhance the learning experience.
