Sponsored proudly by PPL, it’s time to gather all of those recyclables you’ve been meaning to get rid of (toilet paper/paper towel rolls, cardboard boxes, old t-shirts, mismatched socks, plastic bags, and plastic containers) and upcycle them into something you can use again. Carpool with your family and friends and join us to make an impact on this important day. Get excited with a greeting from our friendly turtle mascot, Radley, and use 2 tokens to spin our famous Conservation Station Wheel!
Join us at 12:15 in our Otter Amphitheater to see our North American River Otters, Luani and Piper, enjoy a frozen otter cake! While our famous indicator species are enjoying their frozen treat, a Keeper will be onsite to answer any questions you may have about these important animals.
As you make your way through the Zoo, stop at our interactive tables to learn how you can make a change, but have fun doing it! Engage in activities with our Docent volunteers as they teach you the importance of sustainable choices. Participate in our scavenger hunt and truly immerse yourself in nature!
