Lehigh Valley Zoo invites campers for an exciting week of nature discovery, animal adventures and FUN! Week-long camps run from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for ages 4-5 and 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for ages 6-14. A snack is provided for all camps. For full day camps, campers need to provide their own lunch.
Zoo Camp sessions are offered all summer long for children ages 4 to 14 and include a camp T-shirt and certificate of participation. Kids and teens learn about nature, science, and the animal kingdom while hiking through the Zoo, exploring behind-the-scenes, and investigating nature. Summer adventure camps include animal encounters, keeper talks, educational presentations, games, and nature crafts. Weekly schedules vary depending on the grade level, conservation education staff, and weekly camp theme.

Forest Friends

Ever wonder who hangs around in the forest? Visit the Zoo to learn what animals can be found in nearby forests and who lives in the tropical rainforests found around the world. Through special Zoo tours, nature walks, animal presentations, and activities children will learn about animals of all shapes and sizes that call the forest home.

Wet and Wild

Jump in to this exciting water-themed week! Get a chance to explore the Jordan Creek, take a special Zoo tour, and have an animal encounter as you learn about the importance of water for all living things.

On the Trail

Take a walk on the wild side as you discover the wonder that can be found in your own backyard. Learn about local habitats as you examine them from a new perspective. Enjoy nature hikes, creek walks, and outdoor activities that will awaken your senses and help you see nature in a whole new light.

Explore nature and art at the Zoo! Learn how to sketch, paint, and sculpt your favorite Zoo animals. Campers will also enjoy animal presentations, interactive games, keeper talks, nature hikes, and exploring the Jordan Creek.

Awesome Animal Oddities

Have you ever seen a fox that likes to climb trees, or a parrot that drinks nectar instead of eating seeds? Get on the trail through the Zoo as you search for some of the world's most unique animals. Through Zoo tours, animal presentation, and exciting activities, you'll learn what makes some animals stand out from the rest and why their interesting abilities are important for their survival.

(Camp runs 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. – overnight on Thursday, camp ends noon on Friday.)

Ecosystems are all around us. Campers join the Zoo’s Conservation Educators for an exciting eco adventure exploring wildlife in and around the Zoo with field trips to Lehigh Gap Nature Center and Cape May, New Jersey.
