Senior Safari
Adults age 55+
A leisurely Zoo safari designed especially for our young at heart Zoo friends. Enjoy an informative guided Zoo tour, interactive animal encounters, and light refreshments. During the morning break, you'll enjoy a cup of tea, coffee, or lemonade, finger sandwiches, and a delicious dessert.
Dates and Times: 6/17/2013 or 9/16/2013 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Pricing: Zoo members: $14.00/person, non-members: $15.00/person
Participants receive free admission to the Zoo for the day
Family Flock
Ages 18 months - 3 years
This program is Ideal for toddlers and adults to enjoy together. Program meets four mornings throughout the session. Journey through the wild animal kingdom with the letters of the alphabet as your guide. Each class will focus on a specific letter and the amazing, awesome, awe-inspiring animal it represents. Play-based activities include animal visits, bio-fact viewing, interactive games, nature crafts, songs, and stories. Program encourages adult participation in the learning process.
Dates and Times: (Fridays) 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, and 10/4/2013 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

One adult admitted free with each paying child. Each additional adult $7.00
Nocturnal Family Safari
Adults and children 4+
Uncover the mysteries of nocturnal species. Hike, eat, and sleep with the Zoo animals as you explore the Zoo after the sun goes down. Activities include guided Zoo tour, nature hike, owl calling, animal encounters, snacks, breakfast, and feeding some of the Zoo animals their early morning hay. Bring your own tent and sleep outdoors or stay inside the Zoo's Bison Auditorium.

Zoo Safari for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community
Open to all ages
Join us for a special program created for our deaf and hard of hearing community. Program will include a Zoo tour and animal presentation. Interpreters will be on-site for the program.

Eyes of the Sky
Ages 4 + (must be able to hike)
Arrive at the Zoo early for a morning hike and special up-close animal presentations. Learn about the amazing skills and adaptations of birds of prey. Spend the rest of your day visiting all the other animals in our Zoo family.

CITIZEN SCIENCE PROGRAMS
Hop To Help
Ages 12+
*Pre-registration is required
Team up with Lehigh Valley Zoo and Frogwatch USA to help frogs found in your own backyard! Without your help, one third of the frog species on the planet could go extinct in your lifetime. Learn how to become a Citizen Scientist and record data for a nationwide frog study. This volunteer program will teach participants about Frogwatch USA, why frogs and toads need our help. and will train participants to identify local frog and toad species.
Date and Time: Session one: January 5, 12, 19, 2013 1:00 - 3:00pm or
Session two: February 2, 9, 16, 2013 1:00 - 3:00pm
*Volunteers must be able to participate one of the two sessions.
